This unit is terrible. The lowest possible setting on the front eyes will bring water to a roaring boil in 3 mins. This is the highest"low" setting I have ever seen. It's like having it on 7 out of 10. I can't imagine what hi does. This unit burned my oan on the low seetting and scorched my spaghetti sauce simply bc it is entirely too hot to do anything besides boil something on. I expect better from GE. They have been around longer than any other appliance brand and this is alarming.

This unit fits our needs perfectly. So much so, that when we dropped our microwave on the unit, we did not hesitate to purchase the same unit again. Oven size is perfect and we love the smooth cooktop.

The burners are too difficult to control - it seems to be two settings barely on or full strength - makes it difficult to cook anything without burning. The controls should have been in the front of the range - text is too small to see but it doesn't really matter since the knobs dont seem to have any real control of the heat as mentioned earlier.

Purchased home from Lennar with all GE appliances. Wish I could give 0 reviews. First it™™s the washer and now it™™s the range. Was cooking today and saw sparks from the top of the range. Had to plus it out quickly. Didn™™t want any fires in my house. Scary moment

My family owned and used this GE 30" Free Standing Electric Range for just over two years. Over a period of a week I noticed the glass top stove was getting RED HOT, to the point the glass cracked and split into multiple pieces. I contacted GE about warranty claim and they said its out of its 1 year warranty time frame. I am shaken up about this given it could have cause more damage or injury and its a 2 year old stove. Pretty sad that a $1k stove can only last two years.

This stove came with our new build home three years ago and just cracked while we were using it from the bottom left burner to the top. Really wasn't expecting such bad quality from GE Appliances. Cannot believe the replacement part is $40 less than a brand new stove which we can't afford. We are so disappointed, would give zero stars if I could.

After just 1 year, both burners on the left-hand side are not working. i have a call in to GE customer service to see how this situation will be addressed. The reason we purchased a new stove to begin with was because our old burners no longer worked, and now the new stove is having this issue. This should not be happening on a new appliance!

We got this a few years ago and almost immediately, the front burner stopped working. Now, out of no where, I realized that the other front burner has no low heat anymore. It is raging hot all the time and impossible to cook on. Do yourself a favor and get a higher quality appliance.

We purchased this stove in 2020 and it was a great oven, it took a long time to for the oven to fully heat up, but that was no big deal. Fast-forward to 2025 and just the other night I noticed an orange glow coming from where the lock lever is on the front of the stove. Our stove has a lift up glass top option for maintenance, and there is a space you can see under the top glass, which is rectangular for the locking mechanism, and that's were the orange glow was coming from and you could see the orange color throughout the entire space under the burners! I went over to see if something was kept on, but everything was tirned off. On the black glass surface, we could see random red coils through the glass cook top, the red hot coils were not on the surface, they were underneath the "lid" that can be lifted up. The red coils were around the outside of the 4 burners only! There was a spot towards the back of the stove top that was between the two back burners and we could see a completely red circle, but there is no burner there! Standing by the stove/oven, we could feel a lot of heat coming from underneath the lid where the lock would slide for the self cleaning option! The cook top and oven were very hot, the red hot surface light indicator was not lit up! We checked all the knobs and buttons on the dashboard and there was no issue with those. We unplugged the stove because the oven and cook top kept getting hotter and hotter! I am glad we were not sleeping with how hot the stove got! We had to use oven mittens to pull the stove out of the area because it was a slide in stove! This stove is not only a fire hazard, it is also a burn hazard. I am glad that none of my kids, or one of us adults, got burned by the stove not knowing it turned some kind of heating element on by itself! If I would not have seen the orange glow through the little space, we would have went to bed not knowing that the stove was getting hot! I know they discontinued this model, but hopefully on one else has this issue or had this issue! Now we have to buy a new stove with this one only being 5 years old (it will cost more to fix than it is to replace the stove). This is disappointing that there is only a one year warranty for how expensive it was!! I hope however reads these comments at GE will look into this issue!

This oven was great while it was working, heated up very quickly, which was really great which I find and most electric ovens is not the case™¦
Everything was great and easy to operate and the cooktop was so easy to clean, except for the groove running around the edge which stuff got stuck in™¦
But one night I was using one of the burners while I was broiling something and all of a sudden it stopped working™¦
The clock is still working, and if I press the brown button and start, it™™ll say it is working, but it does not heat up and neither of the burners work and the burner on button does not come on, so I™™m really upset and not sure what to do and I rent the place so I™™m scared of calling my landlord push this did not happen™¦
And it looked brand new so I don™™t know why this would occur

From the day we moved in to the new house and almost two years now, baking with this stove has been a bondage and headache. I have complained and complaind but no solution. At least 4 technicians has been sent to the house to check it out, and only the last technician was able to bring the supposed new stove to work. Few months down the line and we are back to the same issue.
The stove trips off ones you try using the oven for baking or anything else. If possible, this rating should be a zero. They kept extending the complain till the warranty expired.

I bought this stove two years ago. It has a glass top. I noticed pretty early on that the heating elements weren™™t working properly. The front right burner had no low setting ™ even on low, food boiled and burned. And when I would cook something for a long period of time (at least an hour ™ probably less), like lasagna sauce, or chili, the heat extended past the burner and the ENTIRE stove top got hot. Like, if a front burner is on, the butter in my butter dish at the back of the stove will melt. It still does. I discovered this because I had a glass jar of garlic salt a good six inches away from the burner and when I went to grab it, it burned my hand. I contacted BestBuy because I was a GeekSquad member and I thought it would be an easy fix. Multiple techs came out and could not fix the stove. They replaced multiple parts, including burners and heating elements. I contacted GE and was told it was past the warranty. I pleaded with customer service that this was a safety concern. They sent multiple techs out who said they had never seen that before. Not once, ever had they seen what my stove top was doing. One of the techs called his boss while in my home and he said there was nothing they could do to fix it. After more pleading with customer service that something was definitely defective with my stove, they sent out a local GE repair guy who apparently was an ™expert fixing GE products.™ He not only couldn™™t fix the stove with a special part I was instructed to order, he insulted me in my home. I called customer service back. They told me they exhausted all options. I said, if you tried everything and even the GE tech lead said it™™s not fixable, doesn™™t that warrant a replacement even if it™™s past warranty? She said no and they were closing my case. I had a GE stove in my last house for over a decade. It had a glass top. Not once did the heat travel past the burner onto the rest of the stove. My mom has a GE stove with a glass top. Do you know what has never happened? The heat has never traveled past the burner. This stove is a safety concern and I wouldn™™t recommend it or any GE product to anyone given the appalling customer service and sheer disregard for human safety.

Today I am posting a review because I believe that this product might be defective and dangerous. I honestly had no problem with it since I purchased it in 2017. It still looks like new because I'm not that fond of cooking. Fast forward to about an hour ago and I just got the scare of my life. I have a 5 month old shihpoo who likes to stand in front of the oven door and look at herself while I clean the kitchen. Today as she was walking from side to side, in what seemed like a harmless form of play, the oven door literally exploded. Needless to say I nearly had a heart attack as I raced over to her thinking she might be injured. She had already jumped back from the noise and confusion of glass blowing all over the place and was cowering under the table. Thank God she was unharmed. The glass broke in a gazillion pieces and I am just stunned still. After I calmed down and cleaned up the mess, I went to this website to order a new door and found that the part has changed. I also found that to order service for this "accident waiting to happen again" would cost me approximately half of what i paid for the stove in 2017, so to be on the safe side, I'm pretty much done with this stove. I am scared of it now.

Absolutely upset. We've only had this oven since January 2 2024 and can no longer use it because the back piece holding the wiring has completely melted and is unsafe. I cannot find the part anywhere. I have emailed the company, with no response. I am so upset, I paid a decent amount of money for an oven and stove top that no longer work and are only a year old. Completely disappointed in GE.

Very reliable product! The stove top heats up quickly and works amazing for dishes like stir fry! The oven itself does a good job at heating evenly. The only critique I would make is the outlines for the stove top start smudging and ware easily.

My range is 1.5 years old. The front right burner is stuck on high. There are drips between the glass on the oven door. I have no idea how to get in there to clean them. Basically I am having the same problems that many others reported.

Design of oven vents is such that drips easily get between the glass of the oven door! To remove those drips requires removing the oven door and then wrapping a cloth around a yard stick and stick it through the openings at the bottom of the oven door....those are the instructions on the ge website!! My complaint is the design such that the drips occur in the first place! I was able to clean with difficulty but with some success.

I bought this model less than 5 years ago. The broiler stopped working. I had to have the temperature sensor and broiler unit replaced = over $300.00. Now the oven is not working. The oven control board and faceplate need to be replaced = over $300.00. Very disappointed. I'm purchasing a new oven. It will not be a GE!
