Self cleaning mode

I used the self cleaning mode and smoke and grease leaked under the glass of the oven. I had cleaned the oven thoroughly myself but there was still some baked on grease. So I put on the self cleaning mode. Now there is dark brown stain on the glass and metal between the two pieces of glass. There is no way to get to this and clean it out. This is definitely a defect on GE side. They should have had that glass sealed so this will not happen. Or remove the self cleaning mode on the stove. Was told this is just what happens. I™€™m not giving up yet.

Burners are a problem

The stove has been an issue from the start. I can only rely on one burner because the rest go straight to HOT no matter how low the setting. We had a repair under warranty that replaced the switches (I think?), which solved the problem only for a short while. I™€™m not sure what to do next. If I have to buy a new stove, it won™€™t be GE. Terribly disappointed.

The cooktop cracked - using normal lightweight pans front burner- this means our range is now useless - as the glass range surface replacement part to repair costs more than a new range does The storage drawer never really fit and falls out when pulled out or pushed in

I think everything about this range is excellent, the oven, the heating elements and the looks are really nice. The only reason I give it 4 of 5 stars is because the glasstop is difficult to keep clean. Cooking is messy and it shouldn't be hard.

Good range but would like some changes

I have been happy with the performance of the range but would have liked a few simple changes. 1. Knobs have notch to show setting but it should be colored for easy viewing especially on dual burners. 2. When setting the oven, the temperature should show in a separate window from the clock. 3. The timer completed sound is not loud enough. 4. The oven light is not bright enough. However, I am happy with all the other features.

I don't like the GE Range.It poor quality for the price we paid.we didn't get to see a display model just a picture on computer when we purchased it. I've only used it maybe 4-5 times since getting it delivered about 4 weeks ago. The flat top is already starting to show singa of wear and I clean it after every use and use pots and pans that are recommended for it. The range that I had before this one .I had for 7 years and glass top was still in great shape.we wanted all new appliances. Thats the only reason for purchasing this one. I'm not pleased with this GE Range.

Well, this is way up and above from my prior electric range, which cooked unevenly, the stove top coils were crooked, the drip pans were rusting through. Eggs would always slide to one side of the pan. Now...I made even pancakes and eggs for breakfast! We used the air fryer last night, which was awesome. So far, I love it. Will be baking cookies today as a test run for the oven/convection oven. Love all the different ways to use it. It even has a "melt" button on the cook top.

So our 25 year old GE range finally died on us, lasted a long time. I bought this model to hopefully last similarly. I liked the idea of the extra warming burner, but as it turns out I don't really use it all that often. I like the dual sized heating elements on the two front burners, that is quite helpful with different sized pots and pans. I've also used the air fry option several times and like it. My only complaint with that is that the fan turns off when it reaches temp. Seems the fan should run all the time to get the air roasting going.. But it does a pretty good job for what it is. I still use my counter top air fryer for smaller things. We are enjoying the new range. My only other complaint is the color of the glass top shows every little spec of food, spice, or whatever. Our old one was more of a gray color glass so you couldn't see that as much. Not a big deal, I just wipe it down from time to time. Controls are easy to use. Oh, and the pot/pan draw is a bit shorter than before.

This range is replacing a 26 year old GE range. It looks almost exactly the same as my old one. It bakes well and this new range has 5 burners instead of 4. But, there is no night light I can turn on, the bottom drawer is not as deep as old one, so I can™€™t store all my pots in it. A user manual did not come with it. The oven can also be an air fryer, and I have no idea how to use it. I was told to just look online, they don™€™t send out manuals anymore. I had to download it, and sent it to Staples to print off for me. Other than the few negatives.. it works well and looks great in my kitchen.
